Family therapy

Does it ever feel like everyone’s needs are changing in ways that are difficult to understand and keep up with?

Family therapy focuses on understanding each family’s unique language, interactional style and behavioral patterns, the developmental stage and biopsychosocial lens of each family member, and the effects these have on each of the family members, the family unit as a whole, and how these effects connect to the difficulties the family is experiencing. Family therapy models typically use the family’s strengths to deal with the complex systemic interaction between internal conflicts and external stressors affecting the family to enhance the functioning and harmony of the family unit and wellbeing of each its members.
