My Therapeutic Approach
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) I begin each therapeutic connection with getting to know you and the areas of your life, and together we will conceptualize your life through a biopsychosocial (physical, genetic, psychological, spiritual, and social connections) lens and how these elements interact with each other and affect your overall wellbeing. I use a personal style that blends humor, creativity, sensitivity, sensibility, and evidence-based short term, measureable, attainable, realistic, and timely (SMART) strategies to help you grow in your areas of life and relationships and achieve your identified goals.
The therapeutic tools and interventions I use are from a variety of family therapy models, play therapy models, stress management and mindfulness practices and self-regulation models, which primarily include:

Solution-Focused Therapy and Family Therapy

Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)

Structural Family Therapy

Bowenian Family Therapy

Gottman Couples Therapy, and

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Dialectical & Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Approximately 20 Play Therapy Modalities that include Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Adlerian Play Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Play Therapy, Sandtray, and Solution-Focused Play Therapy
