My formal studies and preparation in psychology and counseling work began in 1991. Since then I have consistently accumulated more training across many therapeutic disciplines, and continue to enhance my skills in order to provide the highest quality services using evidence-based approaches and a well-rounded professional style.
I received my first master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University, my second master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University, and my certification in Medical Family Therapy from Oklahoma Baptist University. I am also a Level I Gottman Couples Therapist, a trained play therapist and have a certification in substance abuse counseling and a certification in family trauma therapy. I have served in professional roles within a variety of settings that include colleges, outpatient centers, and private practices. Using my combined skills and experience, I work collaboratively with individuals of all ages, couples, and families, and attune my therapeutic approaches to meet your needs for achieving your goals.
